Born on April 15, 1969 in Brussels, I lived in Brussels, Spontin (South Belgium) and then moved to South France, at the very entry of the Gorges du Verdon.During my youth, my father taught me black and white photography basics, darkroom processing, but I eventually forgot about it… When finishing school, I started to work in different trades (carpentry, plumbing, and others before working on the roofs. Made my military duty with the 1Cha (Ardennes Hunters) at Marche-en-Famenne. When released, started to work in an organic restaurant in Brussels (Le Paradoxe), there I learned, in addition to barman and serving, desktop publishing (on vintage Mac SE30!)… From then on, invited in Lisbon, Portugal, to design a brand new trilingual and full colour Buddhist magazine (Adarsha) during three years. Unfortunately, the magazine didn’t succeed and I came back to South France. In meantime I learned also a little http basics and designed some websites. As one of my hobbies is free climbing, and the Verdon Canyon is a great place to fulfil this practice, I started to initiate friends and their children to the vertiginous joys of climbing! The Verdon Canyon is also a great place to trek, and so we’ve done! With some teens, we had innumerable treks and kind of "survival exercises"… I also learned sailing on the Sainte-Croix lake (at the end of the Verdon Canyon) and had some workshop with professional boat skipper in Mediterranean Sea (Toulon, Corse) and in Bretagne (Lorient, Concarneau, Les Glénan). I now work in an organic shop in Brussels (Dolma.be) for more about five years. Since then, I’ve bought a small digital compact and kept on shooting pictures all around! Then I wanted to go on higher gear and bought a digital reflex! I benefited from various trips and events to involve and improve my technique, and am constantly learning… And here I am, building this site to show my photographs… I sincerely hope you will like the pictures and enjoy the visit! Feel free to leave comments and (constructive!) critics. THANKS I would like to seize this opportunity to thank all my family and friends (they will recognize themselves) who always encouraged me to go a little further… GEAR: Canon EOS 400D | EFS 17/85 IS | EF 28/135 IS | EF 50/1:8 | Speedlidte 550EFX (by now, ordered the new EOS 5D MkII - hoping to have it for Nov.08) Available for assignements, events, travels, weddings.
